International Symposium on Geotechnics for Transportation Infrastructure (ISGTI), Delhi, 7-8 April 2018

The International Symposium on Geotechnics for Transportation Infrastructure (ISGTI) will be held in IIT Delhi on 7-8 April 2018. The event is supported by the Indian Geotechnical Society and the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISMGE). It is being organised as an event under the Technical Committee TC-202 of ISMGE.
ISGTI will provide platform for exchange of ideas and information on new trends and practices followed in pavement design, railroad track, bridges, metro and other allied fields.
This major international event shall attract eminent academics, researchers, practicing engineers, senior executives and other luminaries / experts from leading companies, universities, institutions and professionals from all over the world who shall deliberate on the various themes of the symposium which are as follows:
Theme 1
Challenges in design and construction of Pavements and Embankments.
Theme 2
Design and construction of high-speed Railway and Metro track sub-structures.
Theme 3
Advances in Waterways, Airfields and Pipeline transport geotechnics.
Theme 4
Slope stability, Landslides, Debris flows and Avalanches on hilly roads and remedial measures.
Theme 5
Sub-surface sensing, Investigations and Monitoring in transport geotechnics
Theme 6
Use of Geosynthetics and Non traditional materials in transport geotechnics.
Theme 7
Transport geotechnics in complex underground construction
Theme 8
Ground Improvement techniques for transport geoetchnics
Theme 9
